Shuhe River Bridge is located at Hedong District of Linyi City. It is an important expressway hub for connecting Shandong and Jiangsu Provinces. It is a bidirectional 6-lane highway that is 1,524.9 meters long and 34.5 meters wide, with total cost of 132 million Yuan.
The upper structure uses first simply-supported and then continuously supported box girder, with total 49 openings and 588 precast box girders (including 516 pieces of 30m box girders, and 72 pieces of 40m box girders). The lower structure uses columnar pier with rectangle collar beams, double cantilever type capping beam, ribbed slab type light abutment. It uses 288 columns with highest height of 14 meters. Its foundation uses 312 cast-in-place piles of three pile diameters, respectively 1.5m, 1.8m and 2.0m, and the pile length ranges from 50m to 73m.
The project started from June 5th, 2009 and was completed on February 5th, 2012.
