Dongying Yellow River Highway Bridge is connected with the Dongqing section and Qinglin section of Changchun-Shenzhen Expressway, and the Rongcheng-WuhaiExpressway, Dongying-LvliangExpressway, and Dongying Shugang Expressway. It is a key section of China’s “7918”expressway network and also a key component of Shangdong Province’s expressway network. It is an important channel for the connection with the Yellow River Delta Efficient Ecological Economic Zone, Blue Economy Zone of Shandong Peninsula, Circum-Bohai Sea Economic Zone, and the economic areas of Beijing, Tianjin and Tangshan.
Dongying Yellow River Highway Bridge is 2,743.1 meters long, among which the main bridge is 852.8 meters and the approach bridge is 1,890.3 meters. The span of the southern approach bridge uses 2-opening 42m prestressed concrete simply-supported box girder and a 5-opening 42m simply-supported and continuously supported box girder. The span of the main bridge uses one (116+200+220+200+116)m prestressed concrete rigid framework continuous girder. The span of northern approach bridge uses quadruple 5-opening 42m simply-supported and continuously supported box girder, and quadruple 4-opening 42m simply-supported and continuously supported box girder, and 2-opening 42m prestressed concrete simply-supported box girder.
